# Change OneSignal Domain

We change the location of a tenant's site repository when its domain changes from APEX (ie. doesn't use www.) to www. or vice-versa. However, this change has an important impact on Push Notifications in OneSignal, as they consider it a completely new domain.

When this situation happens, we have 2 possible scenarios:

  1. The tenant has had its OneSignal account for a short time and has not a lot of subscribers. In that case, we can go to their OneSignal account and change the domain for the new one.

  2. ❗️ The tenant has had its OneSignal account for a long time and has a lot of subscribers, it is not possible to change the domain there for the new one. In this case, it would mean that we need to create a new OneSignal id and that the tenant could lose all its current subscribers.

Possible solutions:

The best solution depends on each site. In any case, and whatever solution is selected, CS and the tenant must be aware of it before proceeding with the changes.
