App promotion banners now tracked in your analytics
App promotion banners now feed your recirculation analytics. Publishers who run native app install campaigns on their sites can see exactly how often the banner appeared and how many readers tapped through to the App Store or Google Play.
App Banners are one of Marfeel’s Experience formats, among the first things readers see when browsing your site on mobile. Previously, they displayed on your pages without sending any performance signals to Compass. You could verify the banner was configured, but had no visibility into whether readers were actually seeing or acting on it.
Here’s how you can get started:
- Check how many readers were eligible to see your app banner in your recirculation reports
- Track impressions: each time a reader sees the banner on a page, Compass records it
- Measure clicks: when a reader taps through to the app store, that action is captured too
- Data respects platform: Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store) banners are tracked independently
Your app campaign data is now where the rest of your performance data lives.
