Subscription and conversion tracking with the Marfeel SDK
The Marfeel SDK provides a full suite of features for tracking subscriptions and conversions. All conversions data and attribution models are available through Compass, Good Morning, Optimize, and Single Customer View reports.
What the SDK tracks
Section titled “What the SDK tracks”The Marfeel SDK tracks four aspects of the subscription and conversion lifecycle:
- User journey: Differentiate anonymous, registered, subscribers, and any other user type you want to track.
- Subscription conversions: Track the event when a user subscribes.
- Page visibility: Know when a page is open, closed, or dynamically closed.
- Users reconciliation across devices.
For a broader look at how these tracking capabilities fit into a subscription strategy, see the Subscriptions overview.
Low-code setup with tag experiences
Section titled “Low-code setup with tag experiences”Marfeel offers tag experiences that allow non-technical users to instrument the site in a low-code environment. Consider starting with a no-code experience if any of the following apply:
- You use a commercial paywall solution like Piano, Evolok, or Zephr.
- The data points to instrument are already accessible via JavaScript in the data layer or
windowobject. - A conversion can unequivocally be triggered when a user hits a specific page URL.
- A conversion can unequivocally be triggered based on an existing AJAX HTTP request.
What does the Marfeel SDK track for subscriptions and conversions?
The Marfeel SDK tracks four key aspects: user journey (anonymous, registered, and subscriber segmentation), subscription conversion events, page visibility (open, closed, or dynamically closed), and cross-device user reconciliation.
Can I set up conversion tracking without writing code?
Yes. Marfeel offers tag experiences that allow non-technical users to instrument conversion tracking in a low-code environment. This works when you use a commercial paywall like Piano, when data points are accessible via JavaScript in the data layer or window object, or when conversions can be triggered by a specific page URL or AJAX request.
Where can I see conversions data and attribution models?
All conversions data and attribution models are available through Compass, Good Morning, Optimize, and Single Customer View reports.
