Set up the Nextdoor integration

Marfeel’s Nextdoor integration connects your Nextdoor account to the platform, letting you publish and schedule content to your local neighborhood pages directly from Amplify. It also tracks engagement on those posts: reactions, comments, shares, and clicks are collected automatically and available alongside your other social metrics.

Nextdoor is built around hyperlocal communities, giving publishers a direct channel to readers grouped by geography. Managing it alongside your other social platforms happens in one place.

For a deeper dive on the social media module and how to get the most out of it, see the user guide.

  1. Go to the Organization icon in the sidebar and select Integrations. Navigate to the ‘Social’ section and find Nextdoor.
  2. Click on “Connect” inside the Nextdoor integration box. Enter a page name and your publication’s domain, then complete the OAuth flow and authorize Marfeel.
  3. Review the connected pages. You can enable or disable distribution for each page from the account dashboard, and manage multiple Nextdoor pages from a single account.
  4. Disconnect the account at any time from the same settings view.
You can manage multiple Nextdoor pages from a single publisher account and toggle distribution per page without disconnecting the integration.

Once connected, Nextdoor works like any other Amplify channel:

  1. Create a post and select Nextdoor as one of your publishing channels.
  2. Preview exactly how your article will appear before it goes out.
  3. Schedule it alongside your other channels in a single workflow.
Nextdoor posts require an article link. Amplify enforces this automatically and flags anything missing before you publish.

Engagement data is collected automatically once the integration is active. No changes are needed on your end. Reactions, comments, shares, and clicks appear in your analytics dashboard, where you can compare performance across posts to see what resonates with your local audience.
