Search Console metrics & dimensions
Marfeel retrieves Google Search and Google Discover data directly from Google Search Console and makes it available through Marfeel Explore, its reporting solution. This allows you to analyze search performance, Discover visibility, and keyword effectiveness from a single interface.
- Some metrics and dimensions are incompatible with each other, which can cause data gaps when combined with other Marfeel native Dimensions.
- To retrieve data from Google Search Console, you must first set up the integration. Go to Integrations > Others to do so.

GSC Score
Section titled “GSC Score”GSC Score (Google Search Console Score) measures how effective your article is at attracting Search traffic from SERPs for a specific keyword. It is a value between 0 and 1, calculated as $\frac{clicks On Your Article}{total Clicks}$ and displayed using a color-coded system:
- Green for scores of 0.9 and above, considered Good
- Gray for scores between 0.5 and 0.8, considered Average
- Red for scores between 0 and 0.4, considered Bad
- When no score can be calculated, the indicator defaults to Gray.
In addition to the color coding, GSC Score includes a number showing how many times the specified keyword appears in articles on your site. By combining GSC Score with this count, you can evaluate how your article performs in search results for each keyword.
For example, if the keyword appears in many articles but the present article is Green, that article stands out for that keyword. Conversely, if the keyword appears in few articles but is Red, the present article is underperforming for that keyword.

What is GSC Score and how is it calculated?
GSC Score represents how effective your article is at attracting Search traffic from SERPs for a specific keyword. It is a value between 0 and 1, calculated as clicks on your article divided by total clicks. Scores of 0.9 and above are Good (green), 0.5 to 0.8 are Average (gray), and 0 to 0.4 are Bad (red).
What is the difference between Google Search and Google Discover metrics?
Google Search metrics track clicks, impressions, CTR, and position from search engine results pages, while Google Discover metrics track clicks, impressions, and CTR from the Discover feed. Search includes position data, but Discover does not since it is a feed-based experience rather than a ranked results page.
How does Google count a search impression?
Google counts loading a search results page as an impression, even if the user did not scroll to the point where they saw your link. This means impression counts may be higher than the number of users who actually viewed your listing.
